Russian Railways to require RUB 400bn in gov’t support funds (RosBusinessConsulting)

Two local congressmen have secured $1 million in federal funds for improvements to St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino. A $500,000 appropriation acquired by Rep. Jerry Lewis , R-Redlands, will pay for a vascular surgical suite. A $500,000 appropriation acquired by Rep. Joe Baca , D-Rialto, will help pay for a $2.1 million MRI imaging machine to detect breast cancer.

The Phoenixville Community Health Foundation (PCHF) awarded the Phoenixville Area Library a $25,000 grant for emergency operating funds. The grant also comes with an additional $10,000 option if the library can find a donor to match the $10,000 from PCHF.

Moreno Valley council approves funds for community improvements (The Press-Enterprise)

The Moreno Valley City Council this week authorized $30,000 more for additional foreclosure prevention workshops by transferring funds from other community development accounts. Although the city’s unemployment declined from 17 percent to 16.5 percent in 2009, it’s still higher than the county’s jobless rate of 14.3 percent and the state’s rate of 12.4 percent.
